What do I teach?
Moving between Smalley and Lafayette schools I teach the students:
Grade  3rd  4th 5th
Middle School
Technology (all grades involve proper use of search engines, network resources, and laptops) Touch typing and basic Microsoft Word Google Docs comparatively used with Microsoft Office - emphasis on PowerPoint and Word All Elementary technologies will be reviewed in a project format
 Multimedia uses are explored with video and image editing; new technologies will include Microsoft Excel and iMovie
 
 What is a typical lesson like in my class?
I will model a lesson that involves an application on the computer. The students will then get their computers and be asked to perform a similar task.
 How are students assessed in my class?
Student work is either reviewed during class or handed in electronically. All work is then applied to a rubric. Rubrics may vary according to the task, but a typical rubric might look like this:

What is the best way to contact me regarding a student?
Since I move between two buildings and do not have an office it is best to reach me by email.
