This year, I am instructing                              classes. Homework is assigned at least 4 days per week! Whew! Fortunately, it will not be an enormous amount of work, however it should be done! Why? Because it aids your ability to recall new information. Choosing NOT to do the few homework problems will diminish (stop) any new taught information from being stored in "long term memory", thus little to no recall! Math is cumulative - that means if you can't write fractions, you will have trouble writing decimals! Math constantly builds upon the last learned skill to continue onto the next skill.

Supplies or preparation: pencils, eraser, paper, pencil sharpener and the current text should be with each student daily. Smalley provides a binder as well as dividers for each student. In this binder, students should keep all of their supplies handy.
